Redline is a great product for tranmission the Spectro Platium for 6 speeds is a bit better for 6 speed gearboxes...
In what way is the Spectro better for 6-speeds?
I only ask because2 days agoI changed the oil in my 6-speed transmission from Shockproof Heavy to Spectro Platinum 6-speed lubricant, which is advertised specifically to reduce gear whine inthe new H-D 6-speedtransmissions.
However, the change of oil yieldedno change in the 5th gear whine, andno improvement in shifting or finding neutral- so I'm wondering in what way is itbetter thanthe Shockproof thatI had in there?
When the Shockproof was drained out with 5500 miles on it the magnet was completely clean- not a speck on it, and the oil looked brand new. Hopefully the Spectro does as well.

I paid $11 for the quart of Shockproof, whereas the Spectro cost me $18 for a quart, and as yet I can see no difference whatsoever; so if someone knows something I don't please feel free to pass it along... [&:]

In hot climates, try the Redline 20/60. Good stuff too.
