We've already posted the Magnuson Ross (sp) act up in theshop since I started working there. We've been getting allot of crap from the local dealers. They hate us anyway because we don't worship the bar and shield...

 

Save the V-Twin for your engine. Get some of the Mobil 1 75w-90 for the tranny. Use the HD primary juice in the primary. It's less expensive and works fine. If you just gotta use that V-Twin stuff someplace besides the engine, use it in the primary, but not in the tranny.

Appreciate the offer, butif you look at the dates on the earlier posts you'll see they're from 2005. Mac sent me a quart of 10w-40 & I found the rest locally. Sent them to a joint in S. Dakota (?) for analyses. Results are in the forum somewhere. But, and it's a big but, the results mean little now as all the formulations have changed.

 

I have a new 2011 Tri-Glide, and about time for the 1,000 miler. What are you using in the tranny? I like amsoil, but notice the Mobil 1 comes right behind it on Amsoil comparisons. What Mobil 1 type would be good for it?

For the trans use the 75w90 or 75w140 gear oil.
