There is nothing here to take seriously.

Take a deep breath and relax before you blow a gasket.

15 years or 15 seconds, all the same, the subject was brought up.
what if your wife of 50 years asks about when you first met, what do you say, it was 50 years ago so go fly a kite!!!
the VERY FACT that it got comments says it is still relevant although in a sarcastic way.
remember left hand lug nuts???????????? got a friend working on a vintage car??????????????? it is still relevant today to tell him they are left hand before he snaps the stud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but then again, there are lug nuts here on the forum, life is beautiful, start the day with a laugh.

Considering full syn. Is good for at lease 5000 Mls and I change my Both my bikes at 2500 Mls, I drain and transfer used syn. Oil to cleaned out plastic containers and use that oil for my lawn tractor , walk behind mower, weed wacker, edger and blower. Been doing this for many yrs now.

I take my used oil to Walmart. No questions asked. I have no idea what they do with it and don't really care.

When I was a young lad, just married and moved into our first house. I didn't have ramps, I would park the car so it straddled the ditch. Then I could slide under and drain/change the oil. Neighbor asked what I was doing. Told her changing oil. "My God you just drain it into the ditch"?? I used a pan of course, but told her "yep just drain it in the ditch and the rain washes it away". I later tried to tell her I was just joking, but I think it was 2-3 years before she ever spoke to me again. And that's only because she and my wife are friends.

Back to the original 15 year old question. I take my used oil to Advance Auto because it's closest to my house. Dude at the counter said engine oil (synthetic or dino), transmission fluid (manual or auto), power steering, differential, all go into the same tank. Don't mix brake fluid or antifreeze in with it.

I'm fortunate enough to live in a town where the local sanitation guys pick up used oil if I put it to the curb on garbage day. 😉
