I'd like to offer my humble opinion if I might. I've used the 75-90s, but having great luck with a full synthetic 75-140. Even in sub-freezing temperatures it shifts smoothly and quietly. As far as brands, all I'd offer is that you consider buying American made products.

I hate even asking this but what is the best oil to be running in my tranny. I have an '04 Fatboy with approx. 7000 miles on it and have not yet dropped the tranny oil. Because I bought it used I am not sure if it has ever been changed. I have noticed that since purchase the shifting has been rough and finding neutral can be a b*tch.
Now I was told that synthetic 20w50 would suffice due to the somewhat cooler climate here in Canada which during riding season averages 75 - 85max.
So is this correct or should I be using 75/90 synthetic?
Some of you more experienced types might be rolling your eyes but I had to ask.

Thanks in advance

an internal clutch adjustment and primary chain adjustment is needed.....grab a service manual and do the deed.

RedLine shockproof heavy for 63000 on my RoadKing, and never a blink.&nbsp\\; Get that old crap out now, and dump in the Peptol Bismol.&nbsp\\; You'll know what I mean when you get the Redline. &nbsp\\;[8D]

The 3 bears solution: I thought a 75-90 might be too light.I know the 75-140 is just too heavy in cooler weather.I went with amsoil severe gear 75-110.&nbsp\\; I change it once a year.

With hot and cold weather all the 75wXXX oils will be 75w when its cold. They thicken as they get hot from the viscosity improvers.

Redline Shockproof Heavy in the transmission, Redline MTL in the primary.
Never had a problem, worked excellent in hot or cold weather.
