Recently put Mobile 1 synth gear in tranny, went to check level....its soo clear/invisible its hard to read the dipstick. Any suggestions on easier way to measure or read the level? Thanks, Dave

Wipe the dipstick, shove it back in and when you pull it out look for the wet spot.

Lightly scuffing the dip stick with fine sandpaper or steel wool may help.

If you can't see real good up close, get some cheap reading glasses, & vary the angle of the stick in good light, you'll be able to see it.

pull the dip stick out. wipe it off with a rag. put the stick back in. pull it out again and put you finger at the top of the stick and start moving it down towards the oil. when you finger gets oil on it that is your oil level.

Don't forget, with a fat girl you have to roll her in flour to find the place to put the dipstick!

On occasion I have wrapped the dipstick in masking tape to solve this problem. It will let you see the oil level. But be sure the tape is firmly wrapped and don't forget to take it off when you're done.
