Default Lucas 80w-90 Gear oil

Anyone have any experience using this product in a Harley 5 speed trans?

Look on the bottle. If it is rated GL-5 it will work fine.

I just put the 85-140 in my 07 EG, havn't had a chance to get it out and ride yet, raining.

if you read the amsoil sheet it has lucas produts last in their tests. also there was a video on bob the oil guys site I belive, that show lucas produsts causing oils to foam up . not what you want in your trans or engine. its like anything oil is a touchy subject and you cant always believe the advertisements.

What would be a good non synthetic alternative? I'm not trying to undermind the synthetics, just courious ?

I have my doubts about that test and the oil showing alot of trapped air, it's true the oil had trapped air, however the fluid without the lucas added was trapping air, the lucas of course would make a already air trapping fluid trap more air because it has increased the viscosity. I would like to see what it would have done if the lucas was added to the other fluid he had in his test machine, but he didn't put it in that one, makes me wonder about that test. Also that test delt with only lucas additive, not any other lucas products. If the lucas 85-140 gear lube foams in my tranny I'll be sure and post it.
