Must Use HD Oil - Dealer

RE: Must Use HD Oil - Dealer
I am amazed that someone would tell you that you had to use H-D oil or your warranty is void. That person is way out of line. The dealership that we use, Smoky Mountain, sells Amsoil right along with H-D. Now why would a great dealership that probably sells a ton more Harleys than most be marketing oil that if used, would invalidate the warranty? If one dealer says it's okay to use Amsoil, or Red Line, or Royal Purple, then how can another dealer say no.

That is just totally 100% bullcrap! Find another dealer who will tell you the truth. The wrenches at my dealer all use Mobil1Vtwin 20w50 or Amsoil.
