So my choice of oil is Mobil 1 V Twin 2w-50. When I do find it on sale I buy up 6 cases or so. But my stock pile is down to about nothing. If anyone sees it on sale anywhere, I and probably others would appreciate if it was shared with us. Sure hate paying full price for it. Stuff just doesn’t go on sale to often. Tks.

 

I guess we need to start with the benchmark so we know what “on sale” means. After much searching, if you have Amazon Prime (free shipping), then Amazon has the lowest price today.

I use Mobil One 15w 50, and buy a five quart jug at Walmart for $28. Plus Mobil has a $10-15 rebate every year, so I get 5 quarts of excellent oil for about $3 a quart.

 

I switched from Mobil 1 to Lucas 20W50 Synthetic MC Oil, it Quieted the Motor down about 50%.

 

That's interesting. I just bought a 6 gallon box of it for $130. I hope I have the same results.

My 5 quarts of Amsoil 20w-50 engine oil is on route to me.

 

I was thinking of trying that. Lucas in the primary right now & seems great. Was considering Castrol Power 1 also. Phoenix heat on the way & wanna go back to synthetic. I did the Mobil 1 15W50, was ok if anything I thought the engine was more noisy.

 

I can’t believe you’re in Arizona running 15W-50 with the heat you guys have . I would think 20W-60 would more on your mind as to being a more adequate oil to run in your Hot climate .
