https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthetic_oil

Some synthetic oils are made from Group III base stock, some from Group IV while other synthetic oils may be a blend of the two. Mobil sued Castrol and Castrol prevailed in showing that their Group III base stock oil was changed enough that it qualified as full synthetic. Since then American Petroleum Institute (API) has removed all references to synthetic in their documentation regarding standards. "Full synthetic" is a marketing term and is not a measurable quality.
What makes you think it isn't? I've used Mobil 1 15w 50 in the 5 qt. jug for years with excellent results.

Because he read it on the internet on oil websites, that is how he became the world's foremost oil expert.

He is obsessed with trying to convince people to agree with his opinion, and when they don`t it drives him nuts, to the point of making rude and snotty replies.

it is a strangely odd and pathetic display to see him continue on unabated for so long .. may very well be 8th Wonder of the World, i.e, how could one individual possibly be so completely obsessed with something as mundane as motor oil

Here comes the sheep. Nothing to add as usual. THAT'S what's truly pathetic.
Yeah, it's best you stay here and out of tuning threads that are waaayyyy over your head.
Are you two married? Homosexual feelings towards each other, perhaps? Serious question. Because where Dan posts, webb is right behind...everytime. You can set your watch to it. Guess you might as well come out now.

Oh, by the way, I`m with the GTX Classic, because I actually watched the video and it was clear that it did better in the piston ring friction test.

So again... Why make/sell the other? It still has more than allowed by the EPA for passenger cars yet less than the classic and any other 20W50. Sounds like a lame attempt at playing both sides in the zddp debate. Not that there's an argument to be made against zddp.
So you pick and choose the tests you believe? Because tests have clearly shown M1 v-twin turning to grease under high heat. Tests in an actual HD engine, btw.
What might work in your stock engine under normal conditions could fail miserably in a performance engine under high demand, high heat conditions. M1 v-twin has done just that, btw. I know more people that have dumped it than run it today and they were die hard M1 fanatics.

So you value friction tests yet any v-twin oil lacks friction modifiers for obvious reasons. It has to be MA/MA2 rated to work in the primary. So why run it in your engine if it lacks these friction modifiers? It's not like Harleys share a sump.
At least this GTX isn't motorcycle oil. It has hat going for it.

Serious question- Is it truly your goal to turn every single thread into a **** show? If so, you do a pretty damned good job of it.

I asked a simple question to back up their claim. I'm not the one resorting to personal attacks because I have nothing worthwhile to add like certain people here are notorious for.
Do you have anything of any value? You seldom do.
