Was looking at the labels on the HDFormula Pluscontainerand no where could I find what kind of oil it is. Can anyone tell me if it's a multi-grade or single grade oil and what it's weight is?

 

Harley's marketing secret to make you think you can't use anything else. I asked the question myself once and a member said it was a straight 50 oil with high pressure additives. I still use it in the primary, but switched to Mobil 1 75w90 synthetic gear oil in the tranny.

 

Ive wondered the same thing........Ive been using it in my primary as well, dosent seem to make much difference.

 

Send it in for an oil analysis. Maybe that will tell you what the weight is and what additives are present.

 

Straight 50w oil with some high pressure additives....
