RE: Valvoline
I have used 20w50 Valvoline VR1 in my EVO's off and on for the past two years with no problems. It has a good rating and also comes with a CD rating. I believe it is one of the better Dino oils out there.
My next 20w50 oil change will be in the spring though as I switch to 15w40 around October/November. I will probably be using Castrol GTX 20w50 as a friend let me have a case very cheap.
At any rate....VR1 is pretty good stuff.

RE: Valvoline
thanks for the input.I to o use 20-50 when the Texas sun eases up a bit.Mine seems to run a tad quieter with the 60 wt.when its hot.Checked the stats out on V,s website and they seem very comparable to some of the top rated Mc specific lubes.

RE: Valvoline
Did over 300 miles this weekend on my old motor with the VR1 and it never ran better.Ambient temp was low 90,s and very humid,70 on interstate .Engine ran much quieter and oil bag temp never got over 180 190...impressed.
