Are you asking about putting a TC filter on an M8 or are you wanting to put the M8 filter on a TC? The new M8 filter is longer.

MOCO states it's not a tested and approved part for the TC..sure it will spin on but believe it has to do with a sensor clearance issue

The boxes at the dealer all look the same ,with only 2 letters indicating what they will fit. I know this after being given a V-Rod filter for my twin cam. The threaded nipple on the mounting plate was larger then the twin cam's is, and it won't screw on. I'm not sure if the M8 is the same or not , Better look closely at them while you at the dealer to save a trip back.,,,

I am running the longer m8 filter on my 15 rgs with no issues. And no crank sensor clearance issues.

The crank shaft sensor is in the way on a TC. Heck it can be a pain sometimes depending on the filer wrench you use . Some do it and claim no issues. On an M8 the crank shaft sensor is underneath the bike.

But when K&N starts making them there will be a nut on the top of the filter for ease of removal .
