Yes, touchy subject and big time lawsuit that gave the following outcome:
"Full Synthetic" = any oil that has at least some synthetic in it
"100% Synthetic" contains NO mineral based oil

Motul 7100 is 100% synthetic ester oil

Yep and so are their TWIN line of products made in collaboration with Roland Sands. I'm putting that twin stuff in all three holes here in 1k miles.

even that has "IF's"
for example: a base stock that is made from nature gas, still petroleum based but considered a so called syn oil. any base stock that is altered, aka, does not exist in its natural form can be considered a so called syn. if you look at test data, the mention of syn is not there, only classifications.
ester is good but not for all
to each his own poison.

I'll bet Uncle Fester could have used an Aunt Ester.

I thought it was Festus that was on the Addams Family, and they celebrated Festivus?

I'll bet they can all be connected to Kevin Bacon in 3 degrees of separation or less.

If you ride in hot stop & go conditions, or regular wind out the revs....go with Synthetic.
But IMHO, HD Formula+ is best in the primary, and BelRay in the transmission.
