What oil for older TC88?
Got a 2001 dyna I'm gonna change all the fluids. Its got 7500 mile on it and am unsure what to put in it. Have done searches but still confused. I want to run synthetic in the engine if it wont make me start leaking out my old gaskets, hope it will make it run a little cooler. I'm in the midwest so have drastic seasonal temperature changes. What do you all put in you're older TC88's in all 3 holes?
thanks,Rick

you can still run synthetic although I would make it amsoil, mobilv twin or royal purple. Hard to say if leaks will come. It is possible although not likely.

Amsoil MCVQT SAE 20W-50....In all three.
Bike runs cooler, shifts better and goes into neutraleasier.

Mobile 1 75w90 syn gear lube in the tranny
Harley Formula+ Primary lube in the primary case
Your trranny will like the gear lube
Using a lube formulated for the clutch will be a benefit in the long run in the primary. My clutch hooks up much better using the Formula+.
Amsoil, Redline, & Spectro all make formulas blended especially for the primary chain case.
