Klotz's CEO thanks you for doing your part in making his Bugatti payments for all those years

For the average Joe, there's not a lot difference in performance between the major oils...they must be replaced for the same reason...dirt!.

Doesn't matter if it's $100/qt or $5/qt...it gets dirty all the same.

Decades of caring for engines of all types...with no oil related failures...I can say with that experience behind me...buy an "affordable" oil and change it often.

"10,000 miles in the Primary"...no freaken way...that clutch is constantly shedding abrasive particles that go 100% unfiltered...by the time you hit 10k miles, you've got some seriously abrasive oil in there. It takes less than a qt to fill the primary...going 10K miles to save $5 on oil? (Moble1 Racing 4t).

I would love to see the lab results of 10k Primary oil...I'll bet the tech that runs that test wonders if their equipment is broken...your viscosity has got to be whacked and particle count is probably to high for the machine to count...lol.

When I buy used equipment, I always talk oil with the owner of that equipment...if a Harley owners tells me "10k miles between primary changes"....I'm walking away from that bike in a hurry.
I got my 2014 fattie in 2017 I changed the primary oil within a week of getting the bike at 9500 miles and it looked like a tin of metallic paint ready to be applied to a car.. well shocked...

I wonder if it needs oil stabilizer, or does it come already stabilized?

Default Start with the clutch adjustment.

I keep reading about Red Line heavy shockproof or Amsoil heavy 70/110? I... like some that I have read about have a clunk when I put it into 1st gear.. but in my mind that's a Harley.. I have had 3 and all of them have had that distinctive clunk.. but I am having a %$^# of a time finding neutral.. also ( and I may be in the wrong place for this ) I am looking for the rubber gaskets that go under the caps for the front brake and clutch.. was told they are not sold separately.. hate to have to pay $40. or more when I don't need the caps... Please weight in on any help and experience.. I have till April to ride.. the north coast is no place to ride in the winter... thanks for the help
Just suggesting you get your clutch adjustment dialed in as per your model designation. At a reasonably warmish temperature. i.e. 55' plus. Most of the folks that have chimed in on lubes for each hole are correct in what they use. The Redline load shock oil for the trans is my favorite. I use B&M trick shift in the primary. (less drag on the clutch discs, which leads to less clunk when toeing it in to first) Lucas, Redline, Schaffers, Amsoil 20W50's are all good for the engine. Go to 60 weight if you ride in ambient temperatures above 90' F for part of your riding season. Best of luck.
