I know this subject has been beat to death but i am going to switch to this syn oil based on your
recommendations.My question is,I have 1300 miles on my fat boy,is it okay to switch now or should I wait? The second part of my question is,do I have to do anything else other than put the syn oil in with new filter?

 

Switch now. You don't need to do anything special. The synthetic will blend OK with the conventional oil that's left in the system. I'd change the oil and filter again about 3,000 miles then change it with the frequency you are most comfortable with.

You might also consider putting a synthetic 75W-90 gear oil in your transmission as well or possibly Redline Shockproof Heavy.
