Called today to get my first service done and was told by the service guy that Mobil 1 makes HD oil, the SE oil.
Now I wasn't born yesturday but I thought that citco made their oil, not Mobil1.

Last I heard Citgo had the contract. Before them was Sunoco. Ask the mech to see the MSDS for the oil. He is required by law to give it to you. While certain ingredients and their amounts might not be listed, the actual manufacturer will be on the papers.
And even if Mobil is making the Syn 3, it isn't the same stuff, as an analysis showed.
