Lucas or Castrol oil? any feedback? (96 and 103 Twin Cam engine)
Not looking to start an oil thread, looking at different options for main oil only(not primary or tranny)
Have seen Lucas/Castrol pop up in past X years on Amazon, wondered if anyone has any experience or expertise w/ them. Run Mobil 20-50synth now, but my supply is running low and looking to restock in bulk.
Please, no 'stories' on what 'lube' you put in all 3 of your holes and how good it is. Am asking specifically about these 2 products.
Thank you.

I'd go with Castrol of the two. I like the gold colored bottle over the gray Lucas bottle.
Myself, I buy the 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 at Walmart that averages out to less than $4.50 a quart.

The OP says: Not looking to start an oil thread, then goes ahead and starts an oil thread.
There is an entire section of the forum dedicated to the discussion of lubricants and filters.

The Castrol was the noisiest oil I have ever used. Left it in for 1800 miles and couldn't take it anymore....dumped it.
