Default oil additives?

Has anyone tried any oil additives at all? If so, any recommendations?

Use a good quality oil and forget the additives. Today's oils have additive packages already in them and to add another additive may upset the balance in the oil.

'72 FL with mucho miles? Try to find some Havoline 20w-50. Excellent oil and very inexpensive. If you think it's using too much, then switch to a straight 60 oil, maybe Valvoline. If the oil consumption drops with the straight 60, stick with it 'til you rebuild the motor. If it doesn't drop, switch back to the 20w-50, or try some of RevTech's 25w-60. Try some Mobil 1 75w-90 gear lube, or Redline Heavy Shockproof, or another quality gear oil.
