Default should be ok, right??

I think I've narrowed my oil decision to either AMSOIL or Mobil1 20/50 in the engine and primary and just ordered Redline 75/140 for the trans.

Can anyone see any possible problems or is this a pretty safe choice, considering I plan on changing all 3 fluids every 5000 miles.

Thank you for any advice.

Your choice is ok just not sure why you would want two different makes of oil.. AMSOIL 20/50 (MCV) in the Motor and primary and AMSOIL 75/140 in the trans. would be my choice. Redline is a good product but I have just seen test data that shows AMSOIL'S gear lube is better. Just my humble opinion.

Short reply: Yes, it's a safe choice.

Was this another test commissioned and financed by Amsoil?

Good choice. LOL , of course, RedLine being a Class 5 syn. (engine oil) and MTL being a manual trans. lube, without friction modifiers, would be a better choice , IMHO.

LOL, just f'n with you bear![sm=laughingsmilie.gif]

EZ(really likin' the 20/60 Redline oil in the motor. Cool, quiet and zero consumption in the first few thousand miles. Good stuff!
