Default Amsoil

I run HD syn in my RG. I've read a claim that Amsoil may run up to 20 degrees cooler. Anyone able to comment on this product.

Shouldn't this be in the oil related section?

Several people I know say that they noticed their baggers were running a little cooler with Amsoil. The true test would be to use the laser temp sensor or have it shot with infared.I will never use anything but synthetics in my machines, have been using it now over 30 yrs.Know for a fact that it works,do all my own engine and drivetrain work.

It seems that "10 degrees cooler" is most frequently heard from those who say they've compared. To me the main thing is not that it even runs cooler, but thatsynthetic oilcan withstand temperature extremes under unusual circumstances that dino oil mayfail underIE: riding two-up ona long uphill grade on the freeway in the southwestern deserton a120 degree day where oil temps may soar...or stop and go traffic in extreme heat, etc.

I've learned to be skeptical about any claim of the newest, best, ultra, improved or any other such claim, regardless of the product. That being said, I've been using Amsoil in my Dyna for over 2 years, primary and engine (Redline Shockproof in the tranny) and I've had absolutely no problems with the syn oil, the filters I bought leaked a little so it's been back to the MoCo stock filters for me.
