The slip on collar is a heat sink, and not a cooler. The trick with a heat sink is that it has to have good contact with whatever it's supposed to cool. An air gap will act as an insulater. Look at your voltage regulater, same principal.

Look at the description - it lowers temps on a 70* day. Big deal. who needs an additional oil cooler at 70*. What about a 95* day? That's when you really need it.

I wouldn't waste my time or money installing one.

To all, rember when you go to an aftermarket oil filter it has to have the same micron size as stock filters do.
