Default Amsoil Oil Filter Question for my 06 Sportster

Does anyone know if Amsoil makes an oil filter for a 2006 Sportster XL1200 Low and if so, do you have the part#. I can't find any information on this. Amsoil's motorcycle quide shows no part# for an 2006 but shows Part# EaOM135C for a 2005 XL1200.Can my 2006 use the same oil filter as the 2005? Has anyone used this EaOM135C filter on their 2006 Sportster? Thanks!

I believe it is the same filter but you can call AMSOIL tech Support at (715) 399-8324 and ask them.. they are very helpful.

Great question. I wanted to purchase an Amsoil filter when I bought my oil but the reference guide did not list one for the 06 XL1200C. Had to buy the HD filter. My local Amsoil guy is looking into it.

FYI
The following is an email I just received fromAmsoil technical services:

Thank you for contacting AMSOIL with your concerns.

In response to your inquiry, the HD filter (part# 63796-77A) cross-references with our (AMSOIL) oil filter EaOM135C.

Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to your concerns. As always, please feel free to contact us again if we can be
of further assistance

Sincerely,

Heidi Etterman
Technical Services

Acording to AMSOIL technical services, their oil filter # EaOM135C is the one to use on a 2006 Sportster XL1200 but their motorcycle guide shows that this part# is used on a sportsterfrom 1999 thru 2003 and part# EaOM134C for 2004 thru 2005.Still beingtotaly confused as to why an 99thur 03 filter will fit on an 06 but a 04thru 05 filter will not (two different part#'s), I think I'm going tocall them next week and will post if I find out anything different.
