You can use the same. I wouldn't though. I would use something like Amsoil SVG75/90 or Redline Shockproof heavy in the tranny and you'll be happier

Take a look through your owners manual under theoil change section, it will show and explain everything to you that you will need to know. The owners manual is pretty handy if you thumb through it, it will give you a lot of information about your bike. Better yet get a sevice manual there worth the $$$ spent to have.

Take Care,

In the big twins the motor oil and the trans oil are not the same. There are two drain plugs to service them individually. Use something like Mobil 1 V Twin 20/50 in the engine and Mobil 1 75/90 or 75/140 in the transmission and you'll be in good shape.

You can get a service manual for about $50 and do it yourself and save a lot of cash. It's really not that difficult. The plug that is in the corner of the oil pan facing foward is the engine oil and the other one facing downward is the transmission drain plug.

Here's a link to a printout of what needs to be done on the Ultra.

What he said...........use 75w90 in the trans and the 20w50 in the engine & primary and have no worries......Once you get a service manual life will be easy... You need to go over the critical fasteners and other required items for the 10k service not just the oil change. It's all in the service manual and not too difficult if you are mechanically inclined. If not...pay the $3-400. But don't let the service interval lapse or you will be sorry later. Plus you can go to the Harley Davidson website and find the wrenching department page where you can enter your vin number and it will show you what needs to be done on your bike plus any recalls.
