Brought it home, let it idle UPRIGHT for two full minutes, checked oil about a minute or two after, and oil was one dot away from the full line, so it looks like I gained oil possibly, but certainly didn’t lose any. We’ll see what it reads when fully cool. Of the dozens of machines I have owned, this bike has me stumped.

also, since new and even currently , if I give it a a rolled throttle to full throttle, not exceeding 5k rpms, I will smell a burnt oil smell. Especially if I do it on a long hill with wife on back. Is that oil mist from breather vent ?
