oldman, I actually work across the Tug River. I work at ARH Hospital, which used to be called Miners Memorial Hospital...so you may remember that. I live in Mingo County 'Bloody Mingo'

from Baltimore,MD but comingto WV end of Aprilcoming across 55 and going to Black Water Falls - then plannig on going s on 219 doing the Highland Scenic Hghy and 55 over to Richwood. Plan on going on 60 over to Clifftop got a cabin in Babcock so hope to get my own photo of the grist mill. Want to take the road 82? by Lookout through the gorge and back up to 19 and ride across the bridge. We'll be out for a week trying to see and and enjoy your state any recommendations.

roadking2000 you need to checkout the dollysod area and while on your road trip new river gorge hd is at hico rt60/rt19 and on the south side of the nrg bridge is the little town of fayetteville who host several places to dine try gumbos or pies and pints they both are great and there are several whitewater rafting outfitters in the area enjoy and be safe and be wild in west virginia

thanks for the info DynaDave1450 - planning to go through the Dolly Sods area when we are up by Blackwater Falls, and thanks for the heads up on the location of the HD shop

i grew up in parkersburg, my dad (he's 66 and taking the riders couse this weekend) still lives there as well as my brother. Nice place to visit, but don't want to live there anymore. Great riding country though.

I live in Milton, WV now, but from Ansted, WV, the town where Hawks Nest State Park is.

I have a week at Myrtle Beach Bike Week May 12-19 if anyone is interested. 7 nights for $600 at the Sheraton@Broadway at the Beach. 1 BR, sleeper sofa, max occ. 4. Bikes and trailers welcome.
