#1
![Default](https://www.hdforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon1.gif)
The 5th Annual Rally for RAACE - Charity Motorcycle Ride, Kobbfest (custom 50/50 car/rod/bike/24 hr pinstripe marathon and guitfiddle hoedown) and Family Fun Day event will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2010 to benefit The RAACE Foundation. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome to join the ride!
Harford County’s police escorted motorcycle ride takes a 56 mile – feet-up tour of beautiful Harford County, MD. The ride takes a picturesque tour through some of the most beautiful countryside America has to offer. Leaving at 11 am from the huge Jones Junction Hyundai Auto Dealership on business Rt. 1 in Bel Air, MD, one may see several of the nesting pairs of bald eagles that call this area of the Susquehanna River Valley home before arriving at Chesapeake Harley-Davidson on Route 1 in Darlington, Maryland – home to all of the Family Fun Day & Kobbfest Activities.
The RAACE Foundation (Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere), is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to fighting the epidemic of child sexual abuse through public awareness campaigns and the distribution of educational materials. There are an estimated 39 million survivors of child sexual abuse that exist in America today. Statistics indicate that 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18. Only when the problem of Child Sexual Abuse is faced openly can we hope to protect our children. It is Time to Talk about child sexual abuse with The RAACE Foundation.
Whether you ride or not, be sure to bring your families to Chesapeake Harley-Davidson for The Family Fun Day and Kobbfest. The Family Fun Day is a town fair kind of event complete with Pony Rides, Games 2U Wii Game Stadium, food & drink vendors, face painting, temporary tattoos, balloons, games, and more. Biker activities include Nitro Harley burn-outs of Horne Racing and a 50/50 bike show. It’s $10 to enter your bike – half goes to RAACE the other half to the winner as picked by fellow riders and attendees.
Kobbfest is a new addition to the 5th Annual RALLY for RAACE. Kobbie’s Kustoms has hand picked some of the finest show cars, customs, and rods and invited them to the event for a car & rod show. Also in a 50/50 style car show. In a twist rat rods have also been invited with a huge custom trophy built by Kobbie himself will go to the rattiest vehicle. Custom pin stripping will also be on display as well as a pickers delight as the guitfiddle hoedown will throwdown in the giant 80 x 100 feet circus tent.
Also making an appearance at The 5th Annual RALLY for RAACE will be the Time to Talk gaming wheel. At 22 feet high this huge money wheel will be the center of attraction as adults can try to win cash and kids of all ages can win prizes on the 27 sponsor spaces. So, make it a fun day, see the bikes, and join in the activities. Your participation will go a long way in our efforts to fight the tragic epidemic of child sexual abuse.
We encourage you to take part in our 5th Annual Rally for RAACE. Last year's event boasted almost 400 riders taking part in the ride and more than 1200 people at the Family Fun Day at Chesapeake Harley-Davidson which showed that motorcycle enthusiasts can come together to make a true and heartfelt difference in the world. The RAACE Foundation would be truly blessed to see this year's special 5th Anniversary ride triple the amount of participants.
Pre-registration activities are planned for Sunday, July 25th at Chesapeake Harley-Davidson. Also – make it a two day event as The Time to Talk Wheel will be spinning all day Saturday followed by a special 24 hour marathon pin stripping summit that evening on the huge parking lot hosted by Kobbie himself. If you need further information about The RAACE Foundation, the 5th Annual Rally for RAACE, vendor or sponsor opportunities, please give us a call at 1-800-755-KIDS or drop us a line at rally@raace.org.
Wishing You Many Safe Journeys,
The RAACE Foundation

Kobbie's Kustoms, Jones Junction, The RAACE Foundation and Chesapeake Harley Davidson are throwing one heck of a party on Sunday, August 8th in the form of the 5th Annual RALLY for RAACE Motorcycle Ride, Kobbfest and Family Fun Day. It all gets started on Saturday, August 7th under the big top as the Casino Days starts all of the festivities with The RAACE Foundation's giant "Time to Talk" Gaming Wheel.
The giant wheel as it became known is 22 feet tall and over 18 feet wide with a spinning gaming wheel of 14 feet inside. Based on Las Vegas Style Pick Six and a Wildwood, NJ Boardwalk style honky-tonk wheel game of chance, kids of all ages can try their luck. Some joked that it looked like “The Stargate”, others said it was over the top and even a few said it would never spin, but everyone agrees that when the wheel spins, everyone wins. That was then. Now, various display fixtures and an 18 foot gaming table makes up the rest of the “Time to Talk” display. One thing is for sure it definitely creates a family atmosphere and a great time. Players young and old can spin the wheel for cash or prizes with all of the proceeds going to The RAACE Foundations Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere.
Then at 4 pm, Kobbie’s 24 hour pin stripping Party starts. If you have ever wanted you helmet, car, bathtub, mailbox, bike, birdhouse or whatever pin stripped – just bring it over to Chesapeake Harley-Davidson on Saturday night and Kobbie will have at it until the paint dries!
