Just found this area of the Forum! We just got back from a 5 day road trip through Md; Va, Wv & Pa. Some of the most enjoyable riding was up through Rt381 (up from Rt40 to Ohiopyle state park in Pa.). But really it got better as we headed north/east on Rt653......what a beautiful, clean, no traffic area. Wonderful scenery and good road. We also enjoyed Rt30 Lincoln Hwy west, we picked it up at it's junction with Rt219....some sections having great vistas, other sections straight and a little boring........the roadsurface is much better here than back east where RT40 is a crappy road.....potholes, traffic, congestion.

 

Yep...This is one of the best riding states , IMO . Sucks in the winter though .
