Do you plan on coming east toward Hartford, before heading north to Ma? Not sure what route makes most sense from Danbury.

Will the snow be gone in May in MA by then? Was in Hadley Mass last weekend and there is more snow there then in Maine. I think we have more salt on our roads though.

Yes, you guys will be in the clear. Wish I were closer. I would be delighted to meet you all. Sounds like a great time with great people. Go Sox!

Another thought that may be important to some of you! IF you'd like to have breakfast before the ride, there is an outstanding Diner (Mohawk Diner) located at 1105 Mohawk Trail. This place is probably one of the very best diners you will ever eat at! Portions are very generous, everything is cooked to order, and the prices are very reasonable! Very friendly staff, and they are biker friendly! If you do stop in, tell Mike that Kev & Donna said hello! (Actually, we may very well be there the morning of the Trek!)

It's been a few years since I've been in the Danbury area, but one suggestion would be rte 8 north into Mass, then rte 23 to rte 20, then west a short distance to rte 112 north to rte 9 east to rte 112 north again....this will bring you right to the meeting point. It's probably faster to run 84 east to Hartford and then up 91 north to exit 26 in Greenfield and then west on rte 2. From 91, you'll go about 10 miles to rte 112 SOUTH. (you'll see signs for rte 112 north before the turn for 112 south!). Personally, I hate riding the highway, so I'd prefer the other route, but it likely will cost you more time.

Wanted to apologize for breaking to the post last night, was PUI ( posting under the influence ) and way too chatty. You folks are discussing details and I was flapping my gums. Just wanted to say that.

Have a great ride all.

Ya know Art, it really isn't THAT far from Maine to here! (thanks for the consideration! Nice gesture!)

I hadn't mapped it out yet, and had thought about taking Rt 7 up, but can do 84 to 91. It's actually the fastest, most direct route. I've seen some close calls on 91 in afternoon traffic, so less inclined to take that route back.

Somehow I missed this...but another viable route and probably the way we would def. come home. HeyDoc, where in CT are you riding from? I'm not sure if we will have 2, 3 or 4 bikes yet, but maybe our groups can meet up somewhere agree-able.
