Well, I finally went to Laconia, my first major rally. Had a great time. The ride up was outstanding. Went up via 190, 13, 101, 3/11.
I stayed in the Weirs Beach area. It reminded me of York, ME.
Since this was going to be the best weather day, it was very crowded.

Next stop - Daytona Bike week...

Going up myself from Wed. to Sun, from Western Ma.

Whatever you do, wear sunscrean and bring the rain gear. You'd think you were in NewEngland the way the weather changes.

Those are amazing pics!! Looks like the edge of the world.

Default What a week

I drove up on Saturday with my daughter in our Chevy van and stayed over in a Walmart parking lot. It was pure drizzle in the morning but we did our best at walkabout. she had to get back for school so we came back down on Sunday.
But when I saw the good weather predicted for Tuesday Wednesday I decided to make a return trip on the Heritage. Absolutely great riding. Going up I stayed off the interstate and took 202 to 127. Very pleasant ride up.
Super day.
Comning down I used 93 where prevailing traffic was running 75 to 80 mph in spite of the 65 speed limit.
Nice being 2.5 hours away.
Biketoberfest, here I come.

Ther red fender lower right with the sun flare on it is my Heritage Classic ride.

I rode up Tuesday from Bristol, CT for the day. Didn't see the sun until I got to Concord. Had a great time. 479 miles round trip.

Rode over Wed from Bar Harbor....scenery was fantastic,
between the RoadHouse and the BrokenSpoke Saloon, and the
occasional walkers, plenty to be seen.
500 mile round trip....left home at 3:30 am and was walking the
boulevard by 9.

No - I didn't get a pic, but on Wed. there was a woman who had on those pasties tacked on her nipples with nothing else on top. She was dressed like a tiger, with the tail attached to her shorts.
Not bad looking - but not good enough to waste a picture.

But there were a couple of the Jaeigermeister girls that were walking around with string bikinis - oohh la la !
sorry - no pics of them either.

Got back about 2 hours ago. Had two days of great riding in the area. Went to Portland, Maine on one journey. Hit a few H-D dealers. All in all, great time. Police seemed very tolerant though the crowd was well behaved from what I saw in my 3 days there. Will be going back next year.
