The only HD Dealer I'm familiar with that is close to NYC is NewRoc HD dealership located off exit 15 on I-95. Their website address is: www.nrhd.com

Im not sure if this option would even work for ya but you could hop on a train at Penn Station in NY and take a trip to Liberty Harley in Rahway NJ. Liberty does rent bikes and the train station is right across the street from them. The trip is aprox. 30-45 min and its a $7.00 fare. This is the link for NJ transit where you can find out the schedule info. Riding back to NYC from there isnt hard to do either.

Hope this has helped.

You can also get to the New Rochelle one by taking a Metro North train out of Grand Central Station. Not sure how far the dealer is from the train station, but the dealer is right off I-95, and the train line runs along I-95 there, so it's probably pretty close. Otherwise from the city with no car, there aren't too many easy options that I know of - the only ones that do rentals on Long Island are kinda far out with no mass transit closeby...

New Roc Harley is quite a bit aways from Times Square, though a great place and owner.
NYC Harley is probably the easiest to get to but it's actually in LI City which is just outside NYC.

I go up there at lunch sometimes from downtown Manhattan. About a 1/2 hr trip by subway.
Maybe a cool place to visit would be Indian Larry's shop over in Brooklyn.
