ok, after some discussion and planning last nite we have a few points of interest that we are going to hit on this ride

we're gonna start at Rutt's Hut...
then head to the "Gates of Hell" in Clifton...
next will be Lambert Castle...
then we will take route 46 to route 23 to route 287 to skyline drive to explore Ringwood (the home of the Jackson Whites)...from there we are gonna find "Jungle Habitat" and then make our way to Clinton Road

need a date to do this, probably looking at a sunday in June.....

FYI on Jungle Habitat. There's not much to see. The gates will be locked at the old entrance, but the old signs are still up for a photo op.
There is talks now of the property being taken over by either the Town and state to turn into ball fields, trails, etc.
But from there to Clinton Rd is a hop skip and jump away!

I'm from Ringwood, but live in Arizona now.

Be careful on Skyline drive.

I've actually been to Jungle Habitat when it was a functioning wild animal park!!

If you have time, visit Ringwood and/or Skylands Manor. They have beautiful grounds and botanical gardens to walk around and take pictures. Ringwood Manor has a cemetery that is supposed to be haunted. I never saw a ghost, but my dog wouldn't cross the bridge into there, so that was good enough for me!!

Have a great ride, I'll try to remember to come back here and look for pictures.

PS... don't screw with the Jackson Whites... they'll get pissed and say, "I'll get my cousins after you!" Well, their all related and you won't stand a chance!! Honestly, when I was a kid, there were 2 last names in the whole group!
