Yeah, I agree. Very lame! Fortunately it wasn't a long ride for us. Not as many vendors or customs there. The highlight was the ride on up to Appalachian HD. Nice place.

I went to Appalachian HD and rode a few of the 09 demos. They had free demo rides. I rode for about 2 hours on differant 09's. Did you see the 09 demos? They had a SE Ultra and SE FatBob. It was great

I was wondering since a lot of you have posted that you thought Carlisle was a lame show to go to, what show in the PA, NY, NJ area is better? In the way of having more vendors. I was just at Carlisle yesterday and thought it was ok but I am new and have nothing to compare it to. If there are better shows around please let me know because I would like to go.

Was looking for a place to go on Friday, the wife and I rode up to Carlisle hoping it'd be better than it was several years ago. Same boring collection of 2nd class goods, no beer and all the women were fully dressed. Went over to Appalachian HD and only thing there in the middle of the day was the demo rides. Headed down the pike a short distance to grab a beer and burger at Hooters. Glad I've got a GPS with all the Hooters and strip clubs available.
&nbsp\\;
I'd say head to Delmarva Bike week in Ocean City MD in September. At least there's a night life to fall back on.

I tried to tell you all this so called fest is turning into a 2-bit circus.
Hell, I even got a ticket for doing 35 in&nbsp\\;a 25 zone, as a local -Just pissed me off !
&nbsp\\;
Carlisle Events has been loosing vendors and attendees for some time now and is unwilling to re-invest into making the events better.
No beer- yup, just $3 waters , lemonade, and tea. (a 5th of jack is always handy in this situation- don't leave home with out it)
&nbsp\\;
As a Carlisle resident I am embarrased to invite anyone to these events as the response is always the same.......... Lame!

Best thing about the event, IMO, was a small but pretty nice selection of custom bikes to look at, both in the parking area and quite a few builder's bikes.&nbsp\\; One tent had&nbsp\\;antiques &amp\\; the Easy Rider bikes.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Other than that, not a helluva lot going on.
