Many nicer places in Pa to ride to then new hope! I have V&H pipes and have never been harrassed by the police anywhere in Pa.

I'll be staying clear of New Hope!

Local paper stated that New Hope had to refrain from using the term "Biketoberfest" due to a conflict with Daytona having the rights to that name. It ended up being called "Bike Fest". Council members complained that the festival would bring noise and traffic problems, creating more police overtime. Paper relates at the end of the day, 10 citations were issued for noisy bikes ($77 fine) a repeat offender was given a $300 fine. The paper then related that this is a normal amount of citations for a Sunday in the borough". ...........[:'(][:'(][:'(]

Me and the wife were there today. Many bikes parked along the main drag (rte 32) were cited for expired parking meters. Don't know if there were any tickets issued for excessive exhaust noise, but I'll bet the town raked it in just in parking violations. Some pretty loud bikes went through town too. Big Dogs and lots of Sporties with drag pipes. I left my bike parked over in Lambertville and walked over to New Hope. Too damn crowded! It's miracle if you can find any parking at all, let alone worry about getting hosed for loud exhaust. Much, much nicer up in Frenchtown.
In any case, a great weekend for a ride through Warren and Hunterdon.

I'm not permitted to type/say what I think of the Council in New Hope. Lets just say these kind of towns are best left to "those kind of people".

is it true what they say about new hope-- if you drop your wallet there you got to kick it across the bridge to lambertville before you bend over to pick it up?

I look at it two ways. F**k 'em. Free world right. They gave me a ticket for my tire being on the painted white line ina parking spot. I don't know if that means they don't like bikers, and they LOVE the revenue. They go after thecagers too, I've seen the wavingpapers.

Sometimes you ask yourself, if you live in such a neighborhood that brings people in on weekends, if you don't like it move. I hate the "I was here 30 years ago when it was quiet". Times change. Adapt or move.

I'll go through anyway and park in Lambertville if I choose to stop.

I only stop for the pizza joint.
