Well....It took a few weeks to put together, but I think we finally got it. The ride for Gary will be this Sunday, Oct. 14th, and we will be meeting at Thompson Park in Monroe Township (on the corner of Forsgate Rd/612, and E. Railroad Ave/522) at 11AM. I don't have exact details on where we're riding to yet (Steve is probably working on that), but this will be the date/time.

I know I speak for myself and everyone involved in the planning when I say I really hoped everyone who knew Gary would be able to make this ride. As of now, I know there are one or two folks that can't make it on the 14th, and I am really sorry about that. Unfortunately, we just can't wait any longer... we were afraid if we didn't do it soon, it might get put on hold indefinitely. So, the decision, while difficult, was made to go ahead and have the ride this coming Sunday. Once again, to those who can't make it out, myself, Steve, Tom, Dennis, etc....we're really sorry you can't make it.

The ride is open to anyone who wants to come out and pay respect for a great guy...From the number of responses to the last thread (with the news of Gary's passing) it is pretty clear....this was a real good guy, and somebody we're all really gonna miss. Whether you knew him or not, please feel free to join us. The more the better.

Right now, no rain date has been set...so we'll just pray for good weather. Hope to see you all Sunday.

I really would have liked to make it but alas I will be in Gettsyburg that entire weekend. We should try to do a ride every year.

 

What Town and State is this in? I was wondering. If it was close enough???

 

The ride will start in Jamesburg,NJ and head up into northwest Jersey, possibly to the Long Valley Pub.

 

I thought we were going there...I just couldn't remember the name of the place..long valley pub...that's it. That's a nice ride.

John...I'm real sorry you can't make it. Steve mentioned you were going to be away, and we went back and forth on it for a couple days. I know you would've liked to have been there. Lets try to do another ride or two before the season's finished.

As of now Sundays weather is looking good so i hope we canget a good turnout.This would be a greatday as we can pay our respects to Gary and his family and have abig HDF ride. IfSundayis open for you toride try to make this one.
