RE: Seneca Rocks, WV
Anywhere in the Seneca rocks area is awesome to ride to. Do watch out for the deer as there are a bunch and I mean a bunch. Not sure how familiar you are with that area, but do not take a bike to dolly sods. Cool placeto visit with a heck of a view, just not a good road to take a bike up to.

We're from Pa. and were in that area a few weeks ago. I don't know how much time you have but if you want to see some great scenery and ride nice roads, I'd suggest heading north from Seneca Rocks (route ?) to Rt. 50 west. This is a two lane scenic mountain road full of twisties. Take 50 until you come to Rt 219 and then head north on 219 to Deep Creek Lake State Park. http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclan...creeklake.html deep Creek is a resort that offers rental cabins, condos, boats, swimming, etc. Just west of Deep Creek, there's another state park called Swallow Falls http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclan...llowfalls.html where there are some real nice waterfalls along the river that you can walk right up to. Just a heads up... Deep Creek and Swallow Falls are both in Garrett County, Maryland and they don't sell beer on sundays.
If you have more time and want to keep going north, get back on 219 and head up to Rt 40 and then go East towards Cumberland. When you get close to Cumberland, there's a town called Ellerslie where you can make a left on Rt. 96 and go farther north into Bedford County Pa. This southern county of Pa. is our neighborhood and it has a lot of great roads and more scenery. There's also a lot of history in this area made during the French and Indian war. George Washington was encamped at Fort Bedford when they made the road west (now rt. 30) towards Fort Pitt. Check it out... http://www.visitbedford.com http://www.bedfordcounty.net
From the Bedford area, you can take 30 east back to Rt. 220 south and head down to Cumberland, MD. then to Keyser, WV and on back to Virginia. Our loop from Rt. 30 to 96 to 40 to 219 to 50 and back home on 220 was about 250 miles.
