I putting together a ride to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania from the DC area. Any info would be helpful.
Places to stay, knowledge of the roads.

Route 144 and 44 are nice rides. See the PA lumber museum if you have time. Eat at the Wellsboro Diner. Last time I was up that way, I stayed in the Ox Yoke Inn. It was biker friendly.
I'm from Wellsboro. Born & raised here, and still live here. I'll give you some nice rides, some cool things to stop & see, places to stay and phone numbers for reservations (you'll need them in Wellsboro), places to stop & eat, etc. How many days out? How many overnights? Best riding in the state is Northwestern PA.
i will be riding 6 from Scraton NW up into Ohio around Akron somewhere to meet a guy for a western mountains trip in June. I had planned on doing this ride by itself but will add it onto the 2-3 week planned trip.

You have to go past here on the way to Akron from CT, so you might as well leave a day early, and stop & see a few things along route 6. Look up PA Grand Canyon, and Kinzua Bridge State Park. Both along route 6.
