Default Two Lake George day trip rides - Which is better?

I mapped out two day trip rides for an upcoming trip to Lake George. Unfortunately I can only do one... Which one would you guys choose?

Feel free to make any modifications to the routes below and send them back to me via PM.

Lake Placid:

Vermont:

Nice routes. I prefer the Placid one. Going East from Tupper is beautiful.

Do them both! I've done the trip to Lake Placid and most of it back. The scenery is great, roads up to Lake Placid are a little rough, but it would not deter me from doing it again. I've also rode that side of Vermont. but I did it from Keene up and back. Still a real nice trip. If you had one to do now and save one for later and since you're in NY...Lake Placid trip. When you are in Vermont, the trip around Lake Champlain is nice too. Last time I did that I went down the middle, Grand Isle way.

Thanks - Honestly I can't do both... I wish I could

FYI - The source of the VT trip came from this link:

Some things I take into consideration... What are the chances of making it up here again? Have you ridden the VT roads before?

Personally, there are some awesome rides in VT, including the aforementioned Champlain rides. My suggestion might be focus this trip on NY and Placid and then schedule another trip! There are awesome rides in VT, NH, and Maine.
