Default E-ZPass not so EZ....

Just need to rant.......4 weeks ago I ordered a tag for my scoot, never received it and I called them. The woman said that it would be better if I go to the service center and pick one up.

So, I took the bike out today and said "Hey, let me ride to South Ave and pick one up."

Well, I get there and was told that they do not have any e-zpass tags for motorcycles available. In fact, none of the centers throughout the 5 boroughs have them.

I asked if I could use the regular tag and was told they will not work, as I would end up paying what cars pay.

Plus, they are not sure when they will have them available, what a crock of manure..........ok, just wanted to vent and now I am better....

My wife and I have had ours for a couple of years now. No issues.

Default NJ On Line

I used my on-line account to add - take off - order a new ez-pass. Everything is automated. It takes out the human factor (what a world)!

Does your state have different transponders for mc's? I transferred one from a second car that I sold. Still two axles anyway, right?

I did that also, but was told that they are backed up with orders and it would be better to go to the service center for one. I called them yesterday and was told they do not have any and do not know when they will have them.

I agree, but they make it seem like you need one specifically for motorcycles. I plan to call again on Monday and perhaps get someon who know what the hell they are talking about.

If they do make them, they do not have any in stock.

see now thats alot of bs because when i went over the bridge with my truck and trailer towing my bike they sent me a notice saying that the ezpass lane measured a different weight for car and charge me extra for the trailer so if you go over with a 800lb bike and your ezpass is registered for a 5000lb car they should know these big tools

I've had a 'motorcycle' tag on my bike for 5 years now. I understand that NJ no longer uses this kind. I wonder how much longer the transponder battery will last? I like the way the black color blends in and makes it more difficult to see. Better than that big white square one.

Can you see it?
