Default Americade Or Laconia

I plan on going to one of the rallies. Americade is about 3 hour ride and Laconia about 6 hours. If you could only go to one which one would you attend?

I would do Laconia Much bigger rally, Super riding in the white Cloud Mountains! The last day in Laconia, we usually take a ride to NW Maine, Lobsters 2 yes TWO and potato for $19.99 I have been going on and off to laconia since 1985 This year we met some people who sponsor Johnstown PA Rally and deicded to give that a try, if money wasn't so tight I'd do both. But my girl loves to go so everything cost me double !!!

I believe the place was called Bay Haven Lobster Pound 2 in Cornish Maine. I think from Laconia we took route 3 to 25 into maine and it was off 25 you will have to map it out! It adds agood ride to laconia.

Laconia. If you plan to stay a few days, there is alot of good riding. The Kanc, Mt. Washington is a must. The hillclimbs are a blast. And we ride to Maine for lobsta too. This year we are going to Bently's in maine for a day trip. We camp right across from the Broken Spoke, so no need for riding much at night.

Is finding lodging a problem for the Laconia event?

Laconia and Americade? You're really talking apples and oranges here. We're close enough so we go to both so here's my take. Riding is great in both places you can't go wrong with either. Americade is really a Touring experience with grade trade show tents and a lot of friendly people from all over. If your pipes are loud however, you might find the area a little less friendly. NY seems to like bikes only traffic stops and I've seen those stops all over the area during Americade. Laconia is more of a Biker event and certainly more partying (plus many of the vendors you had to pay to see at Americade.) I enjoy them both.

Thank you all for your replies. I decided to hit Laconia for a few days this year. Might do Americade as a day ride.
