Exactly which part of "has become Fritz's Cycle Haus" didn't you fully comprehend?

I don't think Stamford H-D went bankrupt, and Fritz did the same exact thing as apparently did Prestige, except Fritz remained in the same location.

Hi all and right on NYRobG! For what it's worth, I heard that Prestige had their franchise pulled and were shut down by HD for selling their new bikes to a wholesaler. If true, there’s a word for that but it sure aint “savvy”.
This isn't the way these guys should be promoting a new business anyhow. Being offensive makes you look bad, not the people you are seeking to offend. It’s a low class way to start off. Talk yourself up without putting the other guy down. That’s what gets my respect and maybe someday my business.
I'm sticking with "bankrupt" Fritz so no thanks Prestige. That's my 2 cents worth and now I'm going out riding!
And P.S. Prestige guys. Look how bad HDPrinciple and HDdealer1975 end up looking every time they try to promote or defend Bergen here. Learn from their mistakes.

You of course are entitled to your opinion. When I see a complaint from someone about the dealership, I think it is my job to attempt to address it. You are correct about promoting the dealership, that you will not see again. This forum is supposed to be a place for dialogue. No?

In the first quote, you're gloating over the demise of several local dealers. In the second quote, you're bragging after someone called you on it. Sorry, but in my opinion, gloaters and braggarts make themselves look bad, which is exactly how the TradeBroker Prestige guy came off. Thirdly, if it’s your job to handle customer complaints, then where the heck were you when that poor guy was trying to exchange that t-shirt? I think your attempts to promote or defend Bergen here have only ended up making them look worse. Sorry you don’t like it, but as you said, I’m entitled to my opinion.

The poor guy with the t-shirt was less interested in getting an exchange than to complain about it. He was offered an exchange, it wasn't good enough apparently, because he continued to bitch about the policy and wouldn't accept the offer for the exchange.

Wow, HDPrinciple, you have completely missed the point. My question about the t-shirt incident was actually a rhetorical one that wondered where you were when the customer was in your dealership since this is when and where it should have quickly and quietly been resolved. The point in referencing that thread had absolutely nothing to do with the specifics of the customer’s dissatisfaction and was referenced because it was a perfect example of poor judgment on your part and how not to mediate a customer complaint, or as you now in another example of poor judgment chose to call it “bitching”. In any event, my post was more about the bad impressions made when you gloated over the misfortune of others and in your braggart style of self-promotion. As an apparent spokesperson for Bergen HD, would you care to respond to that portion of my reply?

Alright. I am really getting sick and tired of you all beating this subject to death!

Knock it off already and move on! If it continue's then this thread will get closed!

Been a Reggie Pink customer for decades and was looking for a new shop. Was told by an upstate friend to check out local forums to see what’s being said about whom. So here I am. I'm watching this thread with interest because I was also turned off by the Prestige advertisement. It was nasty and Bergen’s posts are questionable too. Prestige hasn't responded since being called out by two other members. Bergen has but he keeps missing the point. Been checking in regularly hoping to see an attitude adjustment by one or both of them. They should be given one more chance to respond before shutting them down on such a sour note.

Sorry, TIPN8R. As a customer loyal to Fritz, I thought TradeBroker’s post was in very poor taste and displayed bad character. I thought several of HDPrinciple’s posts were similarly distasteful. Their reply showed they either misunderstood my point or purposely played dumb, so I explained more clearly that I was talking about character not exchange policies. Don’t bail them out. Let’s hear what they have to say.
