Hawks Nest Ride 2009 May 24th
Alrighty folks, it's official, the date is set May 24th!
We hope to get even more members/non members to GTG for this sweet ride. Last year we had 33 bikes total and had a terrific time!
Here is what I think we should plan:
The main meeting point will be Shop Rite parking lot on RT206N in Stanhope, NJ: Meeting time between 11-11:30 a.m.
90-80 US Highway 206,
Stanhope, NJ 07874
For the northern crew we can meet up at the same location at the rest area on RT23N in West Milford.
Anyone wishing to meet up for breakfast we can coordinate a time/place to do that as well.
For the central/south crew, just map out the directions using the address I put to find your way.
Same goes for anyone coming in from the east(Long Island, NY, CT, etc...)just follow the directions to meet at the Shop Rite, or if you want to meet us northern members you can just go RT80W to RT23N follow approx. 10-12 miles until passing the Echoe Lake Road exit, rest area is directly after the exit.
Once all together at Shop Rite lot we can then proceed to cruise up in a few different directions.
We can head up RT206N, then hit some back roads like RT519 going through back roads up to Culvers Lake, then head up that way towards the Milford Bridge turning before hand to scoot along some more back roads over to RT23 into Port Jervis for another stop to gather everyone. Then head up to the Nest from there stopping for photo shoots, etc, then head down for a meet and greet at the same place as last year or somewhere else if you want.
So, post up. Who's coming, possible change in cruise direction, and suggestions about a meeting place after the Nest.
Once we figure out where we want to meet maybe we can call ahead to reserve a few tables and such...what do you all think?
