Rear brake pedal bushing gunk
So for a while my rear brake pedal was becoming harder and harder to push and return. It finally got to the point where you would push it and it wouldn’t return on its own at all. initially I thought maybe the MC spring broke or MC failure, but today I took it apart and here’s what I found...
the bushing had so much burned up, caked on what I’m assuming is grease, it just was seizing. The bushings are $7 a piece at the dealer because getting them out is a PITA. Used a socket but still ended up boogering one up. Not sure if the wrong grease was used at some point or what, but after I cleaned them up, and greased them with a moisture resistant grease that can stand the heat, the pedal returns like normal.

It's typical with these bikes, my 16 sgs is the same way, rear takes some effort while the fronts are very grabby. I'm in the habit of applying both brakes most of the time.
