new to me Mustang super touring seat.
just got it in the mail today. the guy i got it from says he put about 1500 miles on it. so i was able to put it on and run a 15 mile errand before the rain came.
first impression:
seat came out of the box and looks like it's build quality is pretty decent. went right on and looks like a couch on the bike. in the garage at first sit was good. compared to the stock road glide seat it moves you back a bit but not all that much. and maybe even a hair taller (this was no big deal). compared to the sidekick seat i usually run it is definitely farther forward and much higher.
it is much softer than i expected, much more cushy than the sidekick but not as wet sponge feeling as the stock seat.
the seat is very wide and has a nice amount of back support so much so that i do not like the back rest the seat came with. i don't feel it is needed. plus the backrest kind of limits the seating position since the post supports you farther forward than without it.
i bought this with the hopes of it doing well on a long haul, so i will report back hopefully by the end of the week when i have a chance to get out and put some miles on it.
this is a side note (i could not find this info before purchase, i hope to help others with this) the seat does fit with the short removable passenger back rest. a pic will follow:

so i was able to get out for a moderate ride today. about 70 miles each way. first thing i noticed is that when you lift your legs you don't fall right into place, you gotta wiggle around a bit to get it right. second it kind of smashes the jewels a bit, not sure why but the boys feel very cramped. on the way back there was heavy traffic so 70 mile took almost 2 hours and my but was not hollering so that's pretty good. gonna try to get out to cabelas in the next week or two thats about 100 miles each way.
