Playing the odds. I ride 20-60K a year. Wife is with me space is hard to come by.
In the last 10 years, with well maintained bikes I have had two break downs. One Crankshaft sensor went out at 25K 2007. Dealer came got it fixed in less than two hours warranty.
Front wheel bearing failed at 26K 2013. I may have been able to get it a few miles to dealer but did not. Dealer came and got it. Back on the road in about two hours . Warrantied.
Go back a few more years I carried a roll of tools and never felt I had enough. Times have changed.
When you ride you are always playing the odds.

I too carry just about all the same stuff. With my 02 UC, only thing I needed at the time was a new fuse for the fuel pump. I agree, bikes are more reliable and with multiple avenues of roadside service for those critical times but nice to know for minor things, I can get back on the road.

You can buy just the pouches, or buy completed tool kits.
I bought just the pouches and used my own tools.

I also added a tire repair kit.

Thanks for posting this. I just ordered them!

I carry the Cruz kit that Mxdad posted. It got me home on my last road trip when the shifter shaft stripped out. I also carry a small tire repair kit. They take up very little space in the bags.

Carhartt makes nice tool rolls (check amazon). You can put in them whatever you want for contingencies.
