Do a you tube search for Chemicalguys using a clay bar. Really informative channel. Use lubrication as advised with the claying product. If you drop it its in the trash with it though.

Spent the time correcting my bike as well this summer.
I use Chemical Guys products to get the job done.
I use black wax after sealing the paint.
This picture is of the fairing.

I did a correction on my bike a couple months ago. It came out great, I wish I would have taken the time and done it sooner. I had a couple of minor paint chips on the fairing to fix, so I did the correction after finishing the touch up paint.

I didn't have any scratches, so I started with Pinnacle advanced swirl remover, then moved on to Pinnacle advanced finishing polish, then a coat of Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant, and finished it off with a coat of Pinnacle Liquid Souveran wax. I couldn't have been happier with the perfect finish when I was done.

It sounds like a lot of steps, but it only took a couple hours total, which included light wet sanding of the touch up paint. The last full correction I did was on the '11 Corvette Grand Sport I had and that took all day, so a "little" HD was nothing.

Sounds great. Yes doing cars certainly puts into perpective how manageable a bike is. Even more so compared to a large RV.

All great info; I did a forum search a while back and at the time the consensus for black bikes (if you were not a pro) was Turtle Wax T-3KT Black Box Kit...no?
