Default Help with lighting? International model

So my FLHTK(bought in Japan) does not have running lights. Well I believe only the tail lamp is lit at night in the rear. The tour pack only functions as a brake lamp...no turn signals or run lights like the US models. I'm wondering if there is a way to change this? Can I access the running light feature and turn signals with the existing lamp?

The tour pack also does not come with side markers and I want to add them. Wondering if they'll function correctly if installed?

We have bullet style turn signals on ours(like a street glide) as you can see in my pic.

Any help much appreciated! Cheers

According to my 2014 Service Manual wiring diagrams, there is no difference in the wiring for HDI tour pak lighting and the DOM models.Maybe your dealer can give you what you are looking for through the BCM software.

Thanks for the reply. The dealer here won't do that...as it would not pass the required inspection we have to do every 2 years. I'm looking for something plug'n play type thing.

Just had another issue as well. Ordered the Bullet Ringz from Custom Dynamics. The front turn signals do not line up in the sockets of by bullet housing? The rears plug right in, but the front are different.

Usually if the tabs on the bulb are even with each other as in post #4 the bulb is a single element such as what is used in the rear turn signals. If the tabs are staggered as in post #5 the bulb is usually a 2 element bulb commonly used in the front - 1 element for a running light and the brighter element for the turn signal.

It appears your front lights are signal only, single contact,1156 style bulbs, and the CDs are dual contact,1157 type.

So would anybody have or have access to the part number for the harness/wiring going from the tour pack light running to the main on the bike. Thinking this may get me what I want with full lamp function. And an easy swap come inspection time over here. The lamp itself seems really for full function. The harness he main is without the wires for run and turn.

Figured out the CD led problem. They've got to go back and exchange for the inserts. Stinks, really wanted to use the Bullet Ringz.

Actually it would seem I need the part number for the harness which comes with the tour pack light.

So found the part numbers here. I may or may not need a new lamp as well... Not sure really. Wouldn't they function the same with the correct harness?
