Question: I don't like the look of the license plate holder in the conversion kit but would like to still keep the stock tail light, any suggestions? Do the tour pak connectors all lay under the seat when the tour pak is removed? Or are they rerouted under the frame/fender?

A new seat is certainly next, along with Ohlins, chrome, lid speakers, chrome....it never ends....

Thanks.

Here are a few pictures of my Limited Low with and without the tour-pak. I used the license plate holder and bent it forward. Also put on a chrome license plate frame around it as it just looked so cheap. When the luggage rack is installed, it does touch, so I put two layers of 3m clear bra under the luggage rack where the plate touched.

With the different seats, the wiring fits under the Ultra and Street Glide seat with the tour pak removed. It does not fit under the solo Mustang Low rider seat, but I only use that seat when the tour pak is on the solo mount bracket.

This is just my opinion, but in order to get the right look, you need the blank fenders without the lights. Otherwise it just looks like a stripped down Ultra.

On my first conversion I got a simple lay back plate holder on EBay for about $20. Had to drill three holes in the fender to mount it but it fit perfectly whether the tourpak was on or off. Liked the lay back look better as well. As for hiding all the cables. you can bundle them up and hide them under the seat but it does help to have a seat that will take a backrest since there is a big hole underneath to stuff the wires in. I'm about to convert my new CVO with a detach kit.

Look around on eBay and here. There are always new take offs for sale. That's how I got mine.
