Installation and pics of a Sirius Cree LED install. Stock vs LED Bulb
I followed Rocket67 advice and thread and bought a set of Sirius H11 LED bulbs from Amazon for $75. So thx to him for the great thread.
When I tried to install the LEDs I found that they stayed in the headlight, but were a little loose. I didnt want to chance it so I took off existing stock bulb rubber washer, and installed it over the LEDs. Doubling the resistance. That did the trick.
I "lined" up the LEDs north and south. On both the dim and high beam. Once all together there wasnt anything else needed. I have heard that there are some clearance issues, but I didnt have any. Fit the batwing back on bike like a glove. The only thing was that I had my son hold the wing, as I pulled wiring to left for clearance.

Interesting. The OEM daymaker on my Limited don't have that dark void area, but then again I always run with my passing lamps on. I will have to see if I have that same dark area with my passing lamps off.

I was going to ask the same question, I didn't even think to try that. I might pull my wing off and add the rubber like you did then move the plug back to it's original spot and see if there is any issue. It may just need to be inserted a specific way to fit just right. I don't seem to have any void of light though. My LEDs are right and left and looks like yours are the same way. My lights are adjusted a little low though, when I get them corrected this weekend it may move the pattern out a bit in front of the bike.

Oh, and thanks for doing the comparison. I really wasn't sure if these were getting down the road any further but it's pretty easy to see on your pics that it does light it up way beyond the stock and much brighter as well. I am pretty stoked about these bulbs. Now, how long will they last is the next test.
