#91
Yea Krome werks 2+2 Sweepers
Well its 6 am and the UPS tracking page shows that my order is on the truck for delivery? So bars could be here at 9 AM or 5pm. This is my third change of bars so I have it down pretty good. I'm going out and take off the current bars and get every thing ready for the new install of Krome Werks 300319 2+2 bars. Hope the bars come and hope they are the right ones that I ordered! Stay tuned.

Yep
Well had bars off and ready for new 2+2 Kreme werks 300519.
3rd time is a charm I hope
Bungee the brakes and clutch to keep fluid from leaking
No bars 8:30 am and waiting for Brown Truck
HD mini apes with wires internal. We're ok but wrist angle not for me
Brown Truck showed up at 4:30
So had to get busy
I cut green plug off last time I did this. So had to unsolder and re solder so not that much fun.
Looks bad but goes ok if you take your time.
New bars with red end. They are about same height but wrist angle way different which I was looking for.
Again wrist angle not for me on HD mini apes
These are the stock bars compared to new 300519 2+2 Krome werks.
About two hours to complete. Had a few problems. The bars have to be set back towards rider more the
An you think. They were rubbing bat wing so had to back track and adjust them. I also dropped my 1/4 hex insert from socket tool in the engine area and couldn't fine it ! Looked for 15 minutes before I gave up. Guess I'll buy a new one.
They seem good. But only rode them a few miles tonight. I also nailed 1 about 100 7 " inch pole barn nails today my wrist isn't feeling normal. I'll ride again tomorrow.
I like the, better than the HD mini apes that is for sure.

Scooter is at the mechanics place having mine installed now.
I bought TBW extension and longer clutch cable.
Mechanic was concerned about brake lines so dunno if he'll be doing that or not?
Anxious to get it back and check it out..

Well, after 1600 miles with these bars over the last 7 days, I'm pretty sure I should've went with +2 higher. The bars are too close to me... I find myself leaning back into my passenger and sitting back on my tailbone. Kind of feel like I'm doing crunches when riding up hill.
Not terrible... better than stock. My between-the-shoulder pain is gone.
Did manage to make it through The Tail of the Dragon twice with my passenger. Morons on the crotch rockets need to get a grip.
Still not sure why you guys are cutting wires unless you're routing them inside the bars. Totally unnecessary.

Well I've ridden about 500 miles since I installed the Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers, and I'm really enjoying the change. The back pain between my shoulders is gone, and sitting back is much more relaxing for me. I realize every has their own comfortable ridding position, but these really work for me - I'm 5'10" and pretty average in body shape.
Thank you to all that have shared their experiences to make this a fairly easy DIY project. I found bpd138's post especially helpful. As bpd138 advised, a good tip to prevent scratches when you remove the ignition switch cover is to apply painter's tape on the cover, and I would add, a strip of tape over the small screw on the front of the gas tank, just behind the ignition switch.
